To withdraw cash from an FNB eWallet using a USSD code, follow these steps:
- Receive the eWallet SMS notification, which informs you of the amount sent and, if not included, instructs you on how to generate a withdrawal PIN[1].
- Dial *120*277# on your cellphone to access the FNB eWallet menu. Select the option for “Withdraw Cash” and then choose “FNB ATM” to generate a temporary ATM PIN[5].
- You will receive an SMS with the temporary ATM withdrawal PIN, which is usually valid for 30 minutes to 4 hours. Use this PIN immediately, as it expires shortly[1].
- Go to any FNB ATM or a selected retail partner (such as Spar) that supports eWallet withdrawals[3].
- At the ATM, select “Cardless Services” or “eWallet Services” on the screen. Enter your cellphone number and the temporary ATM PIN sent via SMS, then specify the amount to withdraw (must not exceed your eWallet balance)[1].
- Confirm the transaction. The ATM will dispense the cash. Be sure to collect your money right away and verify the amount before leaving[1].
Important Notes:
- You do not need an FNB account to withdraw eWallet funds; only the cellphone number and valid PIN are required[1].
- If your PIN expires or is entered incorrectly multiple times, you will need to request a new PIN via USSD[1].
- Withdrawals are possible only in denominations afforded by the ATM[1].
