Paystack Ussd Code

Paystack provides USSD code payment options that allow customers in Nigeria to pay for goods and services using their mobile phones without an internet connection[1][3].

At checkout, select “Pay with USSD” among the payment options. Depending on your bank, you will see the relevant code to use. The currently supported codes are:

  • Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB): *737#
  • United Bank for Africa (UBA): *919#
  • Sterling Bank: *822#

To make a payment using Paystack USSD:

  • Select “Pay with USSD” at the Paystack-powered checkout.
  • Note the USSD code displayed for your bank (for example, *737# for GTBank).
  • Dial the code on your phone and follow the bank’s prompts. This may include entering your PIN or last four digits of your card.
  • Confirm the transaction as instructed. A confirmation message will be sent once successful[3].

USSD codes provided at checkout expire after 6 hours. USSD payments on Paystack are currently not set up for recurring payments. Transaction limits may apply, and not all banks are supported[1][3].

For businesses needing customized solutions, Paystack also offers custom USSD codes by request, allowing merchants to integrate unique codes and interactive USSD menus into their systems. This is intended for high-volume or specialized business needs and requires technical integration[2].
